App and Protocol Disclaimer

Use of this application is at your own risk. No guarantee is given for accuracy, completeness, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. The application serves as an engineering and test tool for the IEC 61850 protocols (MMS, GOOSE) and the SCL data model. Messages and values may originate from third parties (IEDs, servers, devices, engineering tools); we accept no responsibility for their content or resulting damages.

IMPORTANT – Industrial / Safety-critical Environments:

  • Use in safety-critical, functional-safety or regulated environments (e.g., SIL-rated protection devices, busbar / differential protection, protection relays in productive grids) is not intended and not certified.
  • The application is designed as an engineering and test tool. It does not replace certified protection, control or substation automation equipment.
  • Writes (Write service) on productive IEDs can trigger switching operations, control interventions or protection function changes. Before any write to a productive IED it is the user's express responsibility to understand the consequences and, if necessary, isolate the bay/substation block.
  • Productive use requires your own assessment, network isolation (VPN / VLAN / firewall), TLS / authentication mechanisms, and where appropriate IEC 62351 substation security extensions.

Lawful Use

The application must only be used in compliance with applicable national laws and regulations. The vendor expressly disclaims any illegal use. Unauthorised access to third-party systems (IEDs, substation automation) without the operator's consent is a criminal offence (in particular § 202a German Criminal Code in Germany; comparable provisions elsewhere).

Mandatory jurisdiction rules, particularly consumer protections, remain unaffected. The purchase relationship with Paddle is subject to its terms and mandatory statutory rights.

General Notice

Software may contain bugs despite due care. This application is continuously improved and updated. Please report issues or suggestions to mail@jch-technologies.de.

Severability

If any single provision of this document is or becomes invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. In place of the invalid provision, a valid and enforceable provision shall be deemed agreed that most closely reflects the intended economic purpose.
